Whether you are an entrepreneur looking to best capture your products and merchandise, a designer looking to best highlight the unique details of your artworks, or an artist looking to document your works with stunning accuracy, this course has you covered. Learn studio photography lighting with hands-on training with tungsten and strobe equipment, light modifiers, shadow control, and creative setups to make your work stand out like never before. Perfect for those looking to build a portfolio, launch an online shop, or simply take their visual presentation to the next level. Requirements: Digital Camera and memory card. 8 SESSIONS
Ceaphas Stubbs earned his BA from Rutgers University in Visual Arts in 2011. He earned his MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, while also acquiring a certificate in “Time-Based Media” from the same institution. He was the recipient of a Christopher Lyon Memorial Award in 2013, and nominated for the Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship in the spring of 2012. Stubbs has completed residencies at Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture (2012), Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (2017), The Creative Capital Professional Development Program (2017), and Express Newark (2017-18). His works have been reviewed in The New York Times, Brooklyn Rail, Skowhegan’s SPACE/LAUNCH, Expose Magazine, and Agave Magazine. He is currently a full-time, tenure-track professor at Brookdale Community College and the Photography AA Program’s Coordinator.
