Women’s history in colonial New England is the story of diverse groups of people who shared a land but not a culture. Among the English immigrants, the Africans – both free and enslaved – and the Native Americans, the social construct of being female varied widely. We’ll explore these constructs, how they evolved and the contributions of women in all cultures to the formation of a new nation. 3 SESSIONS
