Take a nostalgic look back to the swing era with an in depth look into the evolution of the Big Band sound through the music of Fletcher Henderson, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, The Dorsey Brothers, Chick Webb, Cab Calloway and many more. Listen to the Big Band sound of the 1930s and 40s and see the cultural impact of the music and its effect on society from the dance crazes it inspired (the Lindy Hop and the Charleston) to the clothes (Zoot Suits) and radio broadcasts (Let’s Dance) that were a result of the music.
