Course Description

Learn more about the wildlife of the New York-New Jersey bight, a temperate portion of the Atlantic that extends from Cape May to Montauk. Long a migratory pathway for large whales and sea turtles, the coastal waterways along New York and New Jersey are now home to these endangered animals year-round.  Discover the impact on our local coastal wildlife of a changing ocean ecosystem and increased human activity in the area and the monitoring programs that seek to track and protect these spectacular species. Includes light refreshments.
