Course Description

American Sign Language (ASL) is a natural language that serves as the predominant sign language of Deaf communities in the United States and Canada. ASL is a complete and organized visual language that is expressed by both manual and nonmanual features. This course is a non-credit class for businesses and individuals. Students will learn how to sign the alphabet, numbers 1 through 66, emergency signs, phrases and sentences to communicate with people who use ASL.

Prerequisites

None. This course is open to anyone that has an interest in learning the basics of ASL.
