Looking for a way to go about life more calmly, thoughtfully and with less stress? Meditation could be the answer – it can help you navigate life’s challenges and stressors with greater ease. Even a few moments of mindfulness meditation, such as meditative breathing, can bring calm and balance. Discuss and experience meditative practices such as breath meditations; mantra meditations and chanting; guided meditations; and walking meditations. Learn how to establish your own personal practice. Each session includes an exploration of a specific type of meditation, a practice for the week, a group meditation, and time for questions and sharing. Discover the benefits of meditation, the meaning of mindfulness, and insight into the wisdom of some of the most profound teachers. Bring a meditation cushion or pillow to class, those more comfortable sitting in a chair are welcome to do so.
