Today’s contemporary Irish writers are breathing new life into the country’s celebrated literary tradition and contributing to “an unexpected golden age of Irish prose writing.” For each class, students will read a novel by a different author and participate in group discussions moderated by the instructor. Classes take place once a month for three months. The novels are: Long Island by Colm Tóibín; The Art of Falling by Danielle McLaughlin; The Colony by Audrey Magee.
